MIMA has popped up on my feeds a few times.. does anyone know who owns it or the data?
it looks like it might be a helpful tracker for symptoms & seeing patterns that otherwise might be missed.
I’ve a specialist interest in medical education so some concerns that I can’t find anything about the company, such as DOI or the AI algorithms it uses. I can see the benefits of personalised reviews of patterns to symptoms that won’t be available from users of this web site, but just wondered if anyone had seen it / used it / knew the coding.
I hadn’t come across it so I looked up its website. It says nothing of ownership or of privacy but purports to be able to hold a dialogue on multiple different sorts of illnesses. I would stay clear of it and reply on trusted websites like this one or Cancer Research UK for information.

You can look up information including ownership on the government website Companies House, link below.

Hi excavator
I think you are making a bit of a leap about what it is! There’s no company info on its website. I doubt if it is registered in the UK if at all. I wouldn’t engage with it but I suspect you don’t get too far before it wants a dodgy subscription.

Hello Coddfish ,
I'm sorry but I'm slightly confused.
I don't know what you mean by "making a bit of a leap about what it is".
I was only suggesting a look on the official government website because the OP asked if anyone knew who owns it.
Personally I wouldn't touch anything like that with a barge pole.

Thank you. Whilst both sites you’ve mentioned do indeed have value, they don’t have the personalised & tailored pattern recognition that the app potentially offers.
whilst I agree research & understanding of AI & its implications are crucial before blindly using, it may well turn out to be helpful. AI is here to stay in healthcare & understanding how to evaluate it, rather than dismissing it will become a necessary evil. Thank you for your time in replying.
Thank you. I had tried a fairly thorough search before asking, but couldn’t find much either! I appreciate your time in replying.
