Treatment weakened my immune system now getting referred to an endocrinologist? Apparently radiotherapy can change our hormones and can result in a number of things.
I personally do experience: low energy levels and I’ve lost a lot of muscle mass.
I’ve also become extremely sensitive to cold.
Along with that i also experience a loss of libido and my menstrual cycle has disappeared. It’s also affect my memory, I feel confused a lot and I get migraine like headaches.

has anyone else experienced the same or similar?

glioblastoma

still up and at em!

  • Hello ,

I assume you've had radiotherapy for glioblastoma? Have you also had chemotherapy as suggested in the title of your post?

I've had RT / HT but for prostate cancer in 2016 as well as two separate chemo treatments - for lung cancer in 2014 and when my prostate cancer recurred in 2024. I'm also on indefinite HT for the prostate cancer which is incurable but treatable.

Some of the side effects must be common to our respective treatments as I also have loss of muscle mass, feel the cold terribly and my memory is shot. Unfortunately I've never been able to find a remedy for any of these issues - other than trying to follow a good diet, exercise etc. but with limited effect - and an app on my 'phone to remind me each day of any tasks I must do in case I forget (which is often).

I see you're a member of the Brain Cancer forum and, if you haven't already done so, it might be worth posting on there as I'm sure others will have had similar treatments.

In the meantime my best wishes and keep on keeping on!

    Derek.
