  • Hi nibs

I am sorry to hear that you are not getting the support you need after your cancer treatment.

I also had a hysterectomy plus chemotherapy and radiotherapy for endometrial cancer but mine was in 2022. I understand that it can be frustrating to have after effects of the treatment. I do not have lymphoedema but I do have some Late effects from the radiotherapy and some neuropathy from the chemo. I was lucky in the fact that I had check ups every 12 weeks for 2 years post treatment and during this time they did give me a lot of support.

Are you perhaps on patient led follow up if you are not having regular appointments? I know some hospitals do this for some ladies rather than face to face appointments. It can also depend on stage and grade etc. Being on patient led follow up means I can be seen at any time for the next couple of years by contacting my CNS directly. Some hospitals also have Life after cancer courses and counselling available if you feel it may help.

I am sorry to hear of the problems that treatment has caused you with your teeth. Mine are definitely more sensitive post chemo than they were but did start to settle a bit as I recovered and saw my dentist and hygienist. I hope that the dental hospital can help.

it sounds like you have had a challenging time and if it would help then do please give the Support Line a call. They are there from 8am-8pm everyday. They may also be able to look to see if there is some support close to you.

    Jane
