Has anyone ever had a strange side effect to this drug? I am constantly itching, I don't mean a gentle scratch this is a deep down rip your skin off type of itch.
My gp just gives me antihistamines which make me sleepy, and don't work!!! My oncologist said come off them for a couple of weeks and then start taking them again when the itching stops!! But it's driving me mad, I've got so many bruises and red marks where i have to scratch so hard.
I have another 6 months to go with this drug, but at the moment I'm not using any because I just can't cope. It's so embarrassing when I go out.
Is it just me??
Hi Milocat and welcome to the chat group.
This sounds like a difficult issue for you, so you might want to make your post in the triple negative breast cancer group where you are already a member to connect with others on this treatment to see if they have experienced the same,
There is also a very busy and active general breast cancer forum where you could also post to widen the number of members who will see it and the link is here
I hope you’ll be able to find a solution which will work for you.
Sarah xx
