I had my oncology review this morning. Unfortunately, due to my hospital having to pick up CT scans for another hospital in our Trust, the results of my scan weren't in. I changed to oxaliplatin on December 30th because Irinotecan had stopped working. This was my first scan since the change. I should have been notified that the scan wasn't in, so the time of the oncologist and me wasn't wasted (45 minute drive to hospital). This was disappointing.
At least we discussed how I was feeling regarding the changes, and how I was coping with the new side affects, fatigue being the worst. Three weeks to a new appointment. So, I still don't know the progress of my cancer, but hopefully going well.
