Hi
not sure if anyone else has experienced something like this before. I have recently been told I have a mass of 9.2cm growing inside my lung and chest wall. From what I know the pet scan shows a high SUV of 29.2 and is active. I have had 3 biopsy’s. One needle core, which didn’t give much. Two surgical biopsies the last one came back inconclusive and the one I have had recently I am still yet waiting on results. Has anyone else been through something similar?
Hi Hal900 and welcome to the Macmillan community and the cancer chat group,
I’m sorry to read you are going through investigations at the moment-waiting for results and answers is a very difficult place to be. In this general chat group, there may be someone who can pick up on your post who has been through the same sort of testing so hopefully can reply.
The community is divided into different cancer specific groups, so if you find yourself getting a cancer diagnosis, you’d be able to join the one most relevant to you and connect with others who are going through the same type of thing.
This is a list of the cancer types which are covered which you might want to have a look through
If you’d like to join the lung group specifically, the link is here
You may like to make a post there to connect with others who have gone through or are going through similar investigations.
I hope you’ll not have too long to wait to get your results and find out what might be next.
Sarah xx
