Silicone Gel for scar tissue

Hi all,

JJust quick question regarding scar breakdown.

I was referred to Macmillan Next steps Physiotherapy following on from breast surgery and physio recommended a silicone gel to help breakdown scar build up. 

However when I asked GP for prescription they advised they can't prescribe it.

Just wondered about others experiences ...

    Gps tend to do this. It has happened to me when i asked for an item related directly to my health condition and they said no. So i went back to the medical prefessional at tje hospital who said i need3d it and they write a formal letter requesting it. And finally i got it sorted out. In your case wgat you are asking for is for medical needs. I honestly would question the refusal.

Help us do whatever it takes, because we’ve never been needed more.
