Hi
Last year I was diagnosed with Cancer. They successfully removed the tumour and thankfully I have been Cancer free since then. I have been having 3 monthly check ups ever since then and will have them for a couple of years. I had my last check a couple of weeks ago and I am still clear !
However, when people ask me if I still have Cancer I never know how to reply...... do I still have it but I am in remission or am I Cancer free ? Sorry for asking such a dumb question
Hi Flynnboy and congratulations on having your tumour successfully removed.
I don't think consultants these days ever say that you're cancer free but use the expression no evidence of disease (NED) instead. So if I'm ever asked what my cancer status is, I say that there's currently no evidence of disease.
Thanks Latchbrook. I had not heard of that one !
NED currently it is
