Prostate cancer

Hi all. Can anybody out there just throw me some advice. I'm on AS, but my cancer has gone from Stage 1 gleason 3+3 to Stage 2 gleason 3+4 in the space of 2 months. They have now given me the choice of the 4 options, 1: stay on AS.  2: hifu which only treats the area that is Stage 2.  3: Prostatectomy.  4:  Radiotherapy. I really want to go down the Radiotherapy route but I'm 8 weeks out from a total hip replacement, and I'm hoping in the new year to have both my knees replaced which are in a bad state. I've had a couple of remarks saying it wouldn't be possible due to Radiotherapy giving issue to bones. Is this so, my new hip is ceramic and titanium and I'm guessing my new knees would be similar too would that make a difference.

  • Hello Hugster,

Could I suggest you re-post this on the Prostate Cancer Community, there are many on there who should be able to provide some advice.
