I have a colostomy for 1.5 years, I started to feel like bowel movements, like if I’m going to use the bathroom but is closed … is this sensation expected ??

I have had my colostomy for nearly 6 years and my answer would be yes. I can feel it working, although mine is also an end colostomy, so is “closed up”.
We still have muscle memory from before so these sensations are still there. You might want to join the stoma support group and ask your question there so that more members might respond, as this group here is for general chat. The link is here
