Hubby had 3rd radiotherapy & we managed a late lunch early dinner. I pushed the boat out & had 3 glasses of wine See no evil it was a lovely meal & was given a free birthday cake & everyone in restaurant singing happy birthday, which I thought was very kind.

We came home both went to bed at 7.30pm & I slept until about 4am!!

So todays 4th radiotherapy & oncologist is ringing for update on how hes been with weaning off prednislone & how hes doing with radiotherapy. Weanings perfect no problems, radiotherapy making him tired, but last one tomorrow.

And maybe she will decide when to re start chemo....

  • That sounds like you both had a lovely day

  • Morning Tilly, and a belated happy birthday, and that's fab you were able to celebrate it as well, with a little wine, good for you, and it's good to hear he's having no issues coming off Prednisone, and only one RT to go, yay, I'm sorry it's making him tired, I had 20 cycles, but it's normal, and I'll have everything crossed RT is the success we all hope it is, best wishes to you both.

I am a really paid up looney who sends messages to herself!

RT is a hard gig - makes you feel so so tired - made a bed up for Mike downstairs so he could come home

  • Aside from the sleeping, which hes done loads of. My husbands 5 x 10 min bursts to the iliac bone in the pelvic area. He went to bed at 8.30pm & woke up with likeca nervy heavy leg discomfort. He said he its uncomfortable to lay with both legs touching. Not had this all week & his last treatments tomoz. I've just given him some oramorph. And hes sat having tea & biccys. I dont like to Google things as it puts the fear of god into you!!

Is this a radiotherapy side affect?

  • what tea & biscuits - no xxxx

Have you tried a bolster - different sizes to put between legs - may help

The only thing I google is music to download - I am a music freak - well I am a freak anyway

Have -& am sure they have given advice for sleeping positions -but even so sometimes harder to do than do what they say - even how hard we try

Stay there girl - you are lovely to chat to - & dont we need this Forum for our laughs & private tears xx

here for you like everyone xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  • Ha ha ha! I suggested a bolster between the legs, but he declined & carried on eating his ginger nuts!

I just said its the last one tomoz & if concerned tell them in clinic, but I'm sure hes had this before when he had one hit of radiitherapy some time back

  • Well so as long you dont eat them!!!!!!!!!

good luck & let us know how things go today -thinking of you xx

Are you allowed to say which hospital you are with xx

    Chat tomorrow xx
