Hi how do I deal with having this forum of cancer squamous cell
Hi Peakey, and a warm welcome to the forum, though I'm so sorry you find yourself here. Having been diagnosed with SCC, my friend, though I have 3 friends with SCC, my understanding is limited to their types, so not knowing your type, l can't answer your question.
We do have a dedicated forum where you could ask your questions Skin cancer forum where you will find others who share your diagnosis, though you are very welcome to post on here about everything else that comes with a cancer diagnosis from day to day life, emotional issues, families and relationships, which we do all share.
Eddie
Your very welcome my friend, and I'm glad to see you've joined the skin cancer forum and wish you the very best moving forward.
Eddie
Hi Peakeydcc0ec and welcome to Macmillan.
I see you have joined and posted in the skin cancer forum, but I’d like to suggest that if you’re able to, you might want to give us a little bit more information so members can better help support you.
Squamous cell cancer describes a cancer which starts in the skin cells but there are many different types of squamous cell cancers, and not all of them are skin cancer-my own cancer was cervical adenocarcinoma, and the adenocarcinoma described the particular type of cervical cancer. It would have been squamous cell cervical cancer if the cancer had started in skin cells.
If you can tell us your diagnosis and where the cancer is, there might be a support group for you which has more relevance I can direct you to. If you have a diagnosis of skin cancer, then you have already joined the correct group for support and advice.
I’m sure that members will be able to help you more if you can give us a little bit more information.

Ah…thank you for confirming this. Please, come and join us in the Cervical Group-the link is here.
You can join our group in the same way as you joined the skin cancer group. I’d recommend making a new post in our group to introduce yourself and let’s see if we can help. The skin cancer forum will not be relevant for you as skin cancer is completely different in diagnosis and treatments.
I’ve been through cervical cancer twice myself, and in the group we have a lot of experience of different stages of cervical cancer and its treatments.
I look forward to seeing you in the cervical group-please come and say hello!

Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
