BURST SEROMA AFTER LUMPECTOMY

I had a lumpectomy end of June this year. 3 weeks plus I had a seroma which burst and eventually left me with an open wound. It has been cleaned out in theatre and loosely stitched but this is 3 plus weeks and it is still not healed. Has anyone had this experience? My surgeon is also frustrated as I need further treatment and I can't have it until the wound is healed.

Hi Faulty, and a warm welcome to our friendly little group, though I'm sorry you find yourself here, I'm unable to offer any personal advice my friend other than to suggest you post your question on the breast cancer forum, it is our largest forum on the community, and with hopefully have the answers your looking for.
