Hi I am 39 and given a diagnosis of womb cancer last Monday and I am waiting for an MRI scan on Thursday. We have no children and it was very much still a hope for us parenthood and a family for me and my husband. I don’t really know how to use these forums I am very worried and scared but I am trying to keep positive.
I would love to find people to talk to who have experienced similar I am upset a lot still working to keep busy and feeling a little angry when upset. I just want to be ok and will do anything I’m scared about menopause and how I will be different to my friends. I feel a bit lonely and unsure how I feel or who to speak to.
Hi Amy Wf915a8 and welcome to MacMillan.
I’m sorry you’ve had this diagnosis and understand what a difficult time this is.
The community is divided into different groups for different cancers and topics, so I’d recommend you join the womb group and make your post there to connect directly with others who have been or are going through similar experiences.
I’ve made a link here, and if you click on it, you’ll go directly to the womb group. If you then click on the “join group” banner at the bottom of the page you’ll be able to make a post and introduce yourself to the other ladies. There will be lots of support for you there from the lovely ladies in the group who will want to help.if you need any help navigating the forum, please just say.

Hi sweetheart. and a warm welcome to the community, though I'm so sorry you find yourself here and for your diagnosis. What you are feeling is normal, being told you have cancer, going through tests, waiting for results and consultations and a treatment plan is the most difficult time on your cancer journey, so it's understandable your thoughts, emotions and concerns are frightening at times,
It's great you're trying to be positive and keeping busy, but please if you feel like screaming, shouting, having a rant, or a cry then do so my friend, the forums are quite easy to navigate. If you go to the top of this page you will see FORUMS, you will all the cancer types and cancer experience forums, just scroll through them to find the best ones for you there, there is the @womb (uterus) cancer forum with the lovely jane2511 to start with, as well as all the lovely people you will meet on the forums, who support each other.

Eddie, I’ve already provided the direct link to the womb cancer forum so that the poster can join there directly without the need to search forums, which will be more helpful to Amy-especially as she’s not used to how the forums work.

Morning Sarah, when I started my reply, nobody else had, I can be a little slow at times lol, I did think I'd put the direct link up but I guess typing "uterus", in prevented the link from establishing, I'm glad you've put that right my friend.

When you want to put in a link, you need it to be exactly what the group etc is called for it to work. I find it best to copy the group name and then go to the “insert link” on the drop down menu under the reply box.
It can be difficult for new users to try searching for things until they get comfortable with how the forums work, but thank you for helping.

Hi Sarah, in the cancer types thread, it's written womb (uterus) cancer forum, so I was just copying that, I guess I'll miss out anything in brackets in the future, I did wonder why it didn't appear in the drop down box, learn something every day.
Eddie xx
Did you press on the group name and copy it? That’s what you need to do rather than typing a word. Then you don’t need to put the @ symbol there.
When you go to the insert link in the dropdown menu when you click on “insert” you can then paste what you copied and that is your link which will appear in bold in your reply.

Awww Sarah thank you for the lovely advice but I'm far too much of a tech dinosaur to understand half of what you wrote lol, guess I'll have to keep on muddling through, I did put my name down for a computer course but haven't heard anything from them yet, I guess after 16 months they've forgotten about me.
love Eddie and Sheila xx
I am no whizz with the computer Eddie, especially now I’m retired. I struggled with doing links when I joined the community, but as a community champ you have to complete training, and you get time to practise these things. It becomes much easier the more you do it!
