Is anyone else on here facing cancer alone ?
I feel it's a rollercoaster ride from one week to the next.
I would love to hear from others who have very little support and how they cope.
I feel like every day is a challenge to stay positive
Thanks
Thank you Kate.
I agree that we do put our trust in professionals who are trained to spot medical issues that maybe should be spotted sooner.
Unfortunately the Hospital Trust I lost faith in, have been noted to be terrible with many complaints from other departments too.
Which is why I moved location and now under the care of a better hospital trust with better care and proper cancer trained specialists.

I'm really glad you're getting better treatment, it makes such a difference to have your condition/situation recognised and supported after bashing your head on a door which didn't open. It's bad that many others were treated badly with that hospital and yet makes it clear you and others were right all along. Small consolation I know. Do continue to take care.
Hi Pippa1,
I was diagnosed with bowel cancer in 2022 and have had surgery to remove it. I was then put on adjuvant capecitabine chemotherapy which didn't work as the cancer returned. I have had another 3 types of chemotherapy which haven't worked and the cancer is a lot worse.
I am now waiting for someone from clinical trials to get in touch to see if I am suitable. I live alone and am finding it difficult to cope but I don't have a choice so I just have to get on with things. I try not to think about it and book day trips to get out of the house and see other people.
Hi Cloe
So sorry to hear your story. I can imagine living alone must be hard for you too. I do try to book trips and get out to local community centre groups.
In all honesty my life was hard even before my cancer diagnosis, living with trauma after abuse. I just wish my life was nicer and easier as it feels like people like to see me suffer x
Hi Cloe, I'm sorry you're having such a tough time. Life just isn't fair is it? It's AMAZING though that you're still going out and making the most of life, that's the best thing you can do for yourself and is inspirational to people like me.
I hope things get better for you Cloe.
