I’m not going to bore you with the details but I’ll give you a grasp of my situation

4 years ago I was in hospital for something small and a mass was discovered when I had an xray. Ithe sarcoma team in Birmingham took over my care instantly. After MRI and other scans I had a biopsy.  diagnosed with a benign neuroganglioma on kidney. I didn’t have any symptoms so they decided to leave it as it couldn’t come out without my kidney too. So I had regular mris until about 2 years ago.
so now about 2 months ago I had back pain and leg pain and I found a lump. Hard immovable on my  right sacrum near the spine, ached a lot at night  and many other symptoms,  GP not overly concerned but he said he do an urgent referral. Well I got my appt. For 5 weeks time.
I phoned the dept in Birmingham and told them the situation. She said I need to be seen sooner than that.due to a catalogue of errors by the pseople doing the referring I ended up waiting 5 weeks for MRI in the end.  All this time my symptoms are  suspicious and the lump has grown a bit and I’m now waiting for results. Birmingham called today to ask the exact location and time of my mri because they haven’t received anything. No message no pics.  It was 11 days ago Rolling eyes
So what I’m asking is if feeling heat coming from the inside but comes and goes. Could a cancerous tumour do this to you?

  • Hello

I am not medically trained and can't answer your question.

However as the delays in your treatment look to be down to the hospital - I would contact their PALS (Patient Advice and Liaison Service) you can find it on the hospital directory - tell them the full story and ask them to fast track your case.

    I hope this helps.

    Best wishes - Brian.
