Hi,I've just been told I haven cancer after 7 months of the medical centre telling me I had acid reflux phone calls and nurses appointments it's only about 3 weeks ago I got to see a doctor who was a trainee..After a scan they can see a timer on my left side at this stage nobody can see if they can do anything about it ,on Friday I am going to see a hast I was lucky to get a cancellation I also have to see a gynecologist.. I'm scared it has all been left to late for me I don't really have anyone to talk with as my husband died four and a half years ago and my brother a year before.I do have three sons and I did tell them yesterday but it's not the same as you try to protect them even though they are adults. Like a lot of people I don't sleep only about two hours or four as I have been worried about this for a long time I'm sorry about long post but when you keep it to yourself it just all comers out.Try and stay post everyone
Hi Anabell8f0d8e and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.
I’m Anne, one of the Community Champions here on the Online Community, and I'm sorry to read that you've recently been diagnosed with a tumour on your left side.
The online community is divided into different cancer type support groups where you can connect directly with others who have the same type of cancer as you to ask questions, share experiences and get support. As you haven't said what type of cancer you have I can't give you a direct link to a group. You could either let me know or take a look through this list.
Once you've joined the right cancer type group, you can start a new post in the same way as you did here and join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'.
It would be great if you could put something about your diagnosis and tests to date into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
I have not been told what sort of cancer I've got just a mass on left hand side I hope to find out more on Friday
That's fine. When you know more either pop back here, and I'll give you a link to the right group, or take a look through the list I've linked you to.
All the best for Friday
((hugs))
Thanks for your kind words I could do with a hug, I have had one since being diagnosed
