My husband has recently been diagnosed with cancer. He is awaiting an operation to remove his tonsils and the results of a tonsil biopsy. He has now fallen into a deep depression, All he seems to do is either sit in his chair all the time or sleep. What worries me is that he’s not eating or even drinking. I’ve tried to talk to him but he’s blanking me out. I am so worried.
Hello TessieVeac8b2
I am Brian one of the Community Champions here at Macmillan. I can't answer your question as I have a different cancer, but if you join the specialist group for Head and Neck cancers you will be able to talk your husband's issues through with others with the same issues - here's the link you need:
When you have joined the group you can introduce yourself in the "New Here - Say Hello" section by copying and pasting or reposting your post above.
I am sure you will get plenty of help and advice there.
Best wishes - Brian.
