Hi Ace2025 welcome to the forum . Can you tell us a bit about what has happened that has left you feeling like that? It may be that we can offer some support for you. It's OK not to be ok but it's equally good to keep talking so hope to hear from you soon..Best wishes Gail

  • I just feel so down today.I have ovarian cancer and I felt so panicky and a feeling I was going to die.

  • I'm not familiar with the typical prognosis of Overian Cancer.  Have you been given a poor prognosis or is there another reason you are feeling as you do?

  • Hi  and a second welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.

I’m Anne, one of the Community Champions here on the Online Community, and although I've had different cancer diagnoses to you I know how scared you're probably feeling right now.

The online community is divided into different support groups so I'm going to recommend that you join the ovarian cancer group as you'll then connect directly with others who have the same type of cancer as you.

To join, just click on the link I've created and, once you've joined, you can start a new post in the same way as you did here and join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'.

It would be great if you could put something about your diagnosis and any treatment you've had into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.

  • Hi Ace,

I am so sorry to hear that.  What you are feeling is normal.  But people do survive 5 years or more after an Ovarian Cancer diagnosis so logically therefore you may not die from Ovarian cancer,

I do hope you feel better tomorrow, it is a rollercoaster but it can get better.

I cant guarantee the following will help but it did for me.

When you notice you're feeling panicky and down try to write down what your body is doing, is your heart racing or are you feeling hot and perspiring for example, Once you've written down how your body felt remember that some people live 5 years or more, why cant it be you?
