Hi,
I was diagnosed with an aggressive medulloblastoma in 2018. We thought the treatment had been successful and for 7 years scans came back clear.
3 weeks ago I was told it had returned. Good new: its not so aggressive, it's smaller and we have caught it early (yay for the small wins). The radiotherapy killed a lot of my hair on the lower layer, leaving 'triangles' as i call them. My hair has grown back to a sate I've learned to accept.
I work in a school as a TA and I'm worried about teasing if my hair grows back even thinner or the bald spots can't be hidden.. I know wigs are brilliant these days and there is no way of knowing how it is going to grow back, but if anyone else has been through this and has positive stories to share I'd love to hear them.
Likewise, is there any kind of pre-treatment that might save the follicles before it starts? (Unlikely I know)
Thanks for taking the time to read this xx
