My mum 55 has been diagnosed with high grade serous carcinoma, its been such a fast month one day im finishing work to being in hospital after I finish to be the only one with my mum to be diagnosed we thought she had a collapsed lung not cancer. I've took time of work to be the support along with my dad but I am really struggling with the diagnosis. I feel so selfish and don't know who to talk to about it as its my mum going through it not me.
Hello Luna cee
A warm welcome to the Macmillan Online Community - although I am so sorry to find you here under these circumstances. I am Brian one of the Community Champions here on the Community.
it might be best to talk to people in the same or similar circumstances to Mum. The Community is divided up into cancer specific groups or chat rooms so the best one for you would be the ovarian cancer group and here's the link you need:
Just click on the link I have provided and once the page opens up, click on "join" on the black banner at the bottom of the page - you can then introduce yourself in the "New Here - Say Hello" section. If you are supporting mum there is another group and the link to this is here:
I hope the above helps. If you need any further help in navigating the Community please come back to me.
Best wishes - Brian.
