Hi,
I've not been here for a long g time& I'm not sure where I fit in as I've had so many different cancers over the last 11 yrs. I now have bone cancer in my sternum& aggressive kidney cancer& I've also been told by my oncologist it's in my brain,3 lesions but now I have nodules around the lining of the brain. I had a brain tumour removed last December but they can't operate now or give me radiotherapy as it could cause more damage. What they have said is I will be having chemotherapy for 2 months which will start in the next two weeks & hopefully it will shrink the cancers I have especially in the brain, if it doesn't then there isn't anything else they can do. I'm so scared, I don't know what to do ,I cry most days. Has anyone else been through something like this.
Hi XBREEZEX
I'm sorry to read that you've been dealing with cancer for a long time and it's natural to want to know which group would be best suited for you. Normally I'd recommend that you join whichever group your primary cancer is and maybe some of the secondary cancer groups. If you can let me know which of the cancers you mentioned above is the primary then I could give you a direct link to that group.
Anne
Hi. Thankyou for your msg. My primary cancer was my appendix cancer (which is rare.) but it's not behaving as it should. It shouldn't of gone to my brain or kidneys
Hi again XBREEZEX
It mut be harder for you dealing with a rare cancer as there are less people to connect with.
The pseudomyxoma peritonei group is for people with appendix cancer so you might like to join that. There is also a secondary brain cancer group, which you might want to take a look at, but not one for secondary kidney cancer.
Don't forget you can also speak to the nurses on the Macmillan Support Line if you want to chat about your situation. They're available every day of the week from 8am to 8pm on 0808 808 0000.
((hugs))
Hi XBREEZEX, and a warm welcome from me, you are very welcome to join my friends and I on the living with incurable cancer forum, there are usually a few who understand each other's cancer, but we all understand what it's like to live with our prognosis, and my Best wishes for your chemotherapy.
Eddie xx
