Hi! I am gutted. I am trying to get a quote for travel insurance but I've been quoted £800 and £1500. The reason is because I ticked yes for being on a waiting list for treatment/investigation but is this the case if I have been given the all clear and the only thing I have is obs by having a scan in 6 months and being monitored for 10 years. Is this classified as investigation. Its a routine scan?? I am so upset. many thanks
Hello WILLIAMSJAYNE,
From what you describe I believe you could tick no to that question (because routine scans / monitoring are not really treatment / investigation) and this will probably result in a lower quote.
I'd suggest you 'phone insurers to clarify and hopefully you'll secure a much better quote.
There's a separate travel insurance forum on here where you'll find numerous suggestions of insurers to try.
I do hope you can get sorted for a reasonable price and get away for enjoyable holidays.
Hello WILLIAMS1
I can only agree with excavator here - telephone the insurance companies as the online forms work to set algorhythms.
Here's a link to the travel insurance froum should you need it:
