I have had 4 cycles of a 6 cycle treatment and have just had a CT & MRI scan and told not to have any ore treatment until I have spoke with the doctor next week. I have been on an 80% dose of chemo up till now but I think the doctor want to consider increasing the dosage going forward. I have had some quite bad side effects but have manged to tolerate them and am a little concerned that the increased dosage will make the side effects worse. Can anyone give any advise on this.
Hi Worried97 navigating the treatment journey can be confusing. I don’t know your background story but from my many years of having various chemos for (over 800hrs) 2 rare types of blood cancers…… changes in treatment intensity was often required to achieve a satisfactory outcome.
It can help to talk with others with the exact same condition and treatment…. so if you care to have a look through THIS LIST you will find all our dedicated cancer support groups listed.
These groups are safe places to talk to others who may have a similar diagnosis, treatment experience, to ask questions and get support from members who are navigating the exact same journey.
