  • Hi

I'm sorry to read about the side effects you've been experiencing and it's natural to wonder if the side effects of the new treatment will be just as bad or better.

The best way to connect with others who can share their experience with denosumab side effects is to join the secondary breast cancer group

  • I was first diagnosed 3 years ago when I was 45.  Stage one, double mastectomy, chemo..Three years later it is stage 4 in my liver and lungs.  8 rounds of chemo that were really hard.  I finished chemo in June and am now on Phesgo every three weeks.  I have had 2 PET scans that show no evidence of disease.  The Phesgo has been fine.  The first time I got a metallic taste in my chest (I know it sound weird) and dry heaved for about 5 minutes,  Since then,  no problem.  The one thing I worry about is the Phesgo pooping out and having to make the decision to go to Enhertu which is very harsh and is chemo based.  But for now I am all good and the Phesgo is what is saving my life.  It took a while to recover from chemo but now with the Phesgo I feel pretty much back to normal.  I wish you the very best
