Hi.  I'm new to this forum.  Does anyone else experience back pain on Letrozole, and do you do any exercises to counteract them?  Thank you!

  • Hi  and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.

I'm sorry to read that you're experiencing back pain while taking letrozole.

The online community is divided into different support forums so I'm going to recommend that you join the breast cancer forum as you'll then connect directly with others who are taking this drug.

It would be great if you could put something about your diagnosis and treatment to date into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.

  • Hi! I’ve also experienced back pain while taking Letrozole, so I completely understand what you’re going through. The main thing is to use only high-quality Letrozole from reliable pharmacies, then you can be sure of a positive result.

It can be quite frustrating, but I’ve found a few things that really helped me. Gentle stretching and low-impact exercises like yoga have been beneficial, especially focusing on the lower back and core muscles. I also made sure to take frequent breaks during the day to walk around and keep my body from getting too stiff.

Another thing that worked for me was using a heating pad or taking warm baths to relax the muscles. Over time, I noticed the back pain becoming more manageable as my body adjusted to the medication. Staying active but not overdoing it was key, and if the pain got too much, I would talk to my doctor to see if they had other suggestions. Everyone reacts differently, but finding small adjustments in your daily routine can make a big difference. Take care!

  • Thanks Markbo.  This is really helpful.  I'm encouraged to hear that things improved for you over time.  Gives me hope!
