I had my first phesgo & Docetaxel treatment on the 3.7.24, side effects have been manageable & I've had a bit of diarrhoea but it's caused me 2 have piles, bleeding anus & in so much pain, I've tried anusol, germaloids but with no sign of getting better, I don't understand how I'm so sore as I've not had constipation, it's making me not 2 have anymore phesgo treatment, any advice would be appreciated.

  • Hi  and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.

I'm sorry to read about how much discomfort you're in since having treatment recently. Have you reported this to your chemo unit as they would want to help?

The online community is divided into different support forums so the best way to connect with others who may have had similar side effects is to join the forum for your type of cancer. You can either look through this list and choose the appropriate one, or let me know what type of cancer you're being treated for and I'll provide you with a direct link.

Once you've joined, you can start a new post in the same way as you did here and join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'.

It would be great if you could put something about your diagnosis and treatment to date into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
