I'm so pissed off. I have lost my mother in law and my husband to skin cancer. Last year my mum was diagnosed with lung cancer and now she has brain and bone secondary cancer!! I feel like life is taking the piss!! I'm so scared. Triggered by having to take her to clincs that I took my husband to. Memories I don't want. I want to support her but I am so scared that I have to do this again!!

I can fully understand your feelings - not only are you going down the same route for a third time - you are a nurse too so you know not only about cancer but the side effects of the treatments too.
A couple of ideas for you here - I don't know where you live but have you considered asking for mum's treatment being transferred to the next area health authority. (Where I live in Manchester we have 4 different health trusts so travelling wouldn't be an issue). Also do you have any brothers/sisters/children/friends who could go with mum as a friend if you don't want to re-new old memories.
You must also remember to look after yourself too - being a carer is hard work - you could also consider joining this forum
