I'm really looking for any and all information about the above. During the winter I've been wearing a circle of fringe and side pieces ..dont know exactly what they're called. Looks fine under a woollen beanie hat & my daughters say it looks good & I must say it does give me extra confidence.
Now I'm looking to go the next step and get a full hair cover, mid length. Real hair or acrylic? There seems to be pros and cons to both?
How long are they expected to last? Upkeep? Any more tips from ladies or gentlemen? Any feedback graciously received! Thanks!
Ps I dont live in UK but across the channel
Hello Parischic I have just noticed your post has gone unanswered. I am not an expert in wigs and haven't undergone Chemotherapy so my advice is from information I have read.
The best advice I can give you is the MacMillan booklet on the subject and a link to this is below - the issue being you live in France and are unable to access the NHS free services.
I hope you find this of some help. By me replying your post will also be "bumped" back to the top of the forum and should be noticed by other Community members.
You may also find additional advice by joining the Community relating to your specific cancer as there will be people their who have faced the same issues. If I can help you with navigating the site please let me know.
Best wishes - Brian.
