Hi there, first time user to the chat here. My mum was diagnosed with Secondary breast cancer just over a year ago, she’s doing fairly well but doesn’t often leave the house. I’d like to organise a hairdresser for her as the last time I cut it she wasn’t over the moon with the results, and I’d like her to feel more comfortable with her appearance! Can anyone point me in the direction of mobile hairdressers in Northern Ireland familiar with a cancer patients hairtype?
Thanks!
Hello Basquiat
Wow, that's a good question! The forum is divided up into "chat rooms" for each cancer so the best place to start may well be the Secondary Breast Cancer forum - to join this forum - just click on the link I have provided below:
Once there if you click on "join" on the black banner at the bottom of the page you can then introduce yourself and pose the question to Community members on the same or a similar cancer journey. they may well have an answer.
As your question is not specific to that particular cancer it may well be an idea to contact out helpline on 0808 808 00 00 (8am - 8pm 7 days a week). They may well be able to point you in the direction of a local MacMillan Centre who have an answer.
I hope this helps.
Best wishes - Brian.
