Hi, I've just joined the forum my problems started 18 months ago and i have been reluctant to start writing here. Maybe through being scared or trying to hide away I'm not sure . Here i go ...i have suffered with severe depression most of my life after the traumatic death of a parent , i have even tried to take my own life on a couple of occasions . Through strength and the love of my partner, soulmate and best friend i have survived thus far.
Eighteen months ago i was rushed to hospital with stomach pains , i found out i had a large kidney stone but after more scans i was diagnosed with kidney cancer . I was in hospital days later to have the kidney removed but problems with my heart on the operating table meant the operation was abandoned half way through . While recovering in hospital doctors noticed something under my skin on my arm , it turned out to be Melanoma a very aggressive fast spreading type . After 7 operations on my arm as the Melanoma kept returning and spreading my arm was given the all clear ( for now ) Unfortunately the Melanoma has spread to my face resulting in two more operations one small another very large . Then i was called to see my consultant after a few scans i was told the cancer has spread to my lungs , i thought to myself i can not cope with all this but on top off all this they found i have a tumour on the brain which they are sure is benign, and all this and im still waiting to have the kidney out .
I have been reading some posts on this forum and that has convinced me I'm not the only one going through this and I don't feel so lost anymore . I just wanted to put this out there hoping getting it off my chest will lighten my suffering or not who knows . If your still awake after me going on thank you .
Hello kronw A warm welcome to the Macmillan online Community. You have had some issues in your life and although you have gone through a bad period you appear to be coping very well at present given the circumstances.

To join these forums, just click on the link I have provided and once the page opens up, click on "join" on the black banner at the bottom of the page. Once you have joined a forum you can then either copy and paste or repost your original post or introduce yourself with a new post.
