So wondering if anyone has had experience of what’s going on with me at the moment ! Back story …mother diagnosed with breast cancer at age 29 back in the 1970’s …died at 31 …..spoke with couple of consultants in the past they dont think there’s a genetic link …2014 I have a borderline B3 phyllodes tumour removed . 5 years of mammograms follow then a normal call up in 2022 . In sept 2023 I find a lump that is possibly in an area where the surgeon “ tunnelled “ to get at sone tissue to remove in a different area to the phyllodes . I’ve had a biopsy that was B1 …great ….but the images they have don’t match up . I have a second biopsy and again it’s B1 but the images from scan etc don’t match up …these have been core needle . So now I need another biopsy !!! Worried after nearly 3 months of this things are being delayed ….anyone had similar ? Worried I’m getting false negatives !?? Should it really be taking this long ??? Breast care staff hav asked if a marker was put in on the 2014 surgery ,….I’ve no idea but surely this would have shown up in the 6 mammograms I’ve had since ????? Quite frankly Losing my mind !
Hello Kitkat2 A warm welcome to the MacMillan online community.
I have just read your post and quite understand why you are "losing your mind" - it's so frustrating!! I can't give you the help and advice you need as I have a different cancer, however the Community is divided up into various forums or chat rooms dedicated to specific cancers.
I would suggest you join the Breast cancer forum. .You can do this by clicking on the link I have provided and when the page opens up just click" join" on the black banner at the bottom of the page. This will connect you with community members on the same or similar cancer journey. You can then introduce yourself and either copy and paste or re post your post. I am sure you will then receive plenty of answers to your problems.
I hope this helps. If I can do anything else you you please don't hesitate to contact me.
Best wishes - Brian.

Hello Kitkat2
It's no problem, if you need any more help in navigating the site just let me know.
One tip I can give you is upload a little bit of your history/journey so far so that others can see it and you don't have to repeat it time and time again. To do this on your home page, click on the icon of the chair - top right, then profile and then edit profile. (You can read mine by clicking on my name or icon of the beach).
It helps others to help you. I hope you get sorted.
Best wishes - Brian.
