Hi everyone,
18 months ago I had just finished throat and neck cancer treatment which consisted of a neck dissection, chemo and radiotherapy. I still have some side effects and 6 weekly check ups. I’m a hypnotherapist and at times when extremely ill and when my body had had enough, I felt like I was extremely lucky to have a positive mindset. I’m a hypnotherapist and was able to give myself some light relief from the battle in my mind and the anxious thoughts if they tried to set in.
all the best to you all,
Clare
Hi Clare Clare1975 good that you were able to control ‘that’ noise between the ears.
I am sure that folks find many ways of controlling the noise and relaxing. Be it mindfulness, breathing techniques, their pets, their Faith, walking…… we all do what works best for us ((hugs))
Hello Clare, i hope you are in a happy place, the side effects can go on for a while as most of us can empathise with you, as you say a positive mindset means so much when battling cancer but a little help dosn.t go amiss. i do relaxation therapy along with counselling but mostly i find just keeping busy works best. I see a hypnotherapist in a few weeks to hopefully help me sleep and if she is anything like you i will be in good hands, take care, Eddie
Hi Eddie,
thanks for getting back to me. Hopefully, the hypnosis will be a success for you. It trains the subconscious part of the mind that it is ‘safe’ to sleep. Our primitive part thinks it’s doing the right thing by keeping us awake! Do let me know though if it falls through as I also work online.
best wishes to you,
Hi Claire, hope you are doing well. I start my hypnotherapy to help me sleep early January and was was wondering how to get the most out of it, my sleep is really poor and impacts my health as well as my life, I am due to go to Australia the day after but would happily postpone to get a good nights sleep, please take care, Eddie
