Hello, I've been diagnosed with tongue cancer, currently off work and awaiting ssp, and universal credit meeting.. how on earth am I going to pay my rent, and heating bills... these payments when I get them won't even cover my rent!! how am I going to cope?.. how do you manage?
Hello Beau Chapeau I have just read your post and am so sorry to read of your diagnosis. It's like being between a rock and a hard place when the money stops coming in and you need to pay your bills and to eat.

I think the best thing for you is ring the help line - they can give you all the details about other benefits available - I am not an expert but they have been great with other Community members.
I know some members of the Prostate Cancer forum have been able to claim PIP but as I say I am no expert.
The helpline are great - give them a call - I am sure it will be to your benefit.
