Saw general surgeon who gave me more info. May not be eligible for treatment at Christie hospital if tumours are too large. Got appointment for PET scan in 2 weeks then it’s a waiting game again for the christie decision. Surgeon did say it wasn’t the end if I wasn’t accepted which would mean a course of stronger chemo. Has anybody on here been in similar position as I’m feeling a bit low after having gone through 3 months of chemo for nothing?
Hi Tufty53
That must have been extremely disappointing to discover that after having 3 months of chemo your tumours haven't shrunk.
I can see that you're a member of the bowel cancer group so I hope you don't mind me suggesting that you also post this message there as you'll then connect directly with others who may have had a similar experience to you.
If this is something that you'd like to do, clicking on the link I've created will take you straight there.
((hugs))
