Hi I’m just wanting some advice please. My mam is taking IBRANCE chemo tablets along with Letrozole and metoclopramide for sickness but she is really exhausted, has no energy at all and is finding it difficult to do anything at all.  Can anyone advise if this is normal, is it off the chemo tablets.
My mam is only taking one sickness tablet a day as her nurse told her not to take 3 a day but her consultant has said she can as long as she doesn’t suffer any jaw stiffness, again I would be grateful if anyone else can advise they take these and how you are on them please as my mam has had a bit conflicting advice.

mam is becoming increasingly upset that she has no energy to even do light housework. It’s no problem at all for me to do anything for her but she is just concerned that she is feeling this tired and I thought I would ask how other people are coping if they are on this chemo please for her. Thank you for reading x

  • Hi

I'm sorry to read that your mam is finding it very difficult after having chemo.

As you know, the online community is divided up into different support groups, so I hope you don't mind me suggesting that you also post this question in the secondary breast cancer group, which I can see you've joined, as you'll then connect directly with others having this type of chemo.

If you'd like to do this, just click on the link I've created and you can then copy and paste your post into start a new one in that group.

It would be great if you could pop something about your mam's diagnosis and treatment so far into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
