My husband had a myxoid liposarcoma removed last year after 25 rounds of radiotherapy, a year on he is having memory problems especially when in a conversation.
we have put this down to all he has been through, he is 49 nearly 50 and I worry all the time for him. He is my world and just need someone to confirm that it’s normal ( whatever normal) is…..

he’s never been in hospital in his life and this to be the first reason why has knocked us of our feet.
it’s a new way of thinking living feeling

To be positive we have decided life is to short and to do what makes him and us happy.

  • Hi   and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.

I'm sorry to read that your husband is experiencing memory problems since being diagnosed and treated for a myxoid liposarcoma.

As the online community is divided up into different support groups, I hope you don't mind me suggesting that you join and post this question in the soft tissue sarcoma group, as this will give you the opportunity to connect directly with others who have this type of sarcoma and ask questions, share experiences and get support.

If you'd like to do this just click on the link I've created and, once you've joined, you can start a new post in the same way as you did here and join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'.

It would be great if you could pop something about your husband's diagnosis and treatment into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
