CBD Oil and Blood Thinners

Hi KevP and I see it's your first post so welcome.

This is not something (CBD) I have done although I am on high dose blood thinners after my heart attack last year.

The pharmacist at my Cardiology Unit had to do some in depth research before I could have the blood thinners as some of my post cancer treatment drugs showed some challenging interactions..... these were resolved and a way forward was found.

I assume that the mixed messages were following the discussions with her CNS and Consultant....... over my 24 years I have always went with what my consultants said.

HI Mike, thanks for the welcome and response, yes we are waiting for the consultant to come back to us as the consultant initially said it would be fine with the chemo drugs, it was only when fact checking reading up on the internet we noticed that Apixaban can interact with the thinners and cbd oil website highlight using caution when taking with thinners. Strangely the Hospital said ok and cbd sellers hold on best double check that.  Which is why we have gone back to the CNS Team to check,  many thanks for the reply cheers kevin
