Hi all!
so I had my last intravenous chemo today. I still have to go back for another type after surgery.
This problem has been going on for a few weeks now. I’m unable to eat food without it firing back out my butt (sorry to be blunt but there’s no dignity during chemo).
I’be spoken to my oncologist about it and she suggested going on the BRAT diet (bananas, rice, applesauce, toast) but even this isn’t working.
The chemo I was on was a weekly Taxol and I have a Phesgo injection every three weeks.
Has anyone else been on these and had the same problem? If so, did anything help?
Thanks in advance!
Helen
Hi Helen
I'm sorry to read that you're struggling to eat at the moment and the effects of eating sound very unpleasant.
I hope you don't mind me suggesting that you post this question in the breast cancer group, which I can see you're a member of, as you'll then connect directly with others who have had the same treatment as yourself and might have had a similar reaction.
It would be great if you could pop something about your dad's diagnosis and treatment to date into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
