Finding it difficult to deal with husbands pain- when he has bad times & pain meds not giving him any relief I am at a loss what I can fo for him
he tells me just being there helps him but to see the pain on his face is unbearable at times. I find myself just wishing the meds would kick in & he would go to sleep so I can selfishly relax for the next round. I know I could not cope with the pain if the tables were turned- he is not the sort of person who would ever show pain or such emotion normally- we’ve been married 42 years-& it is heart breaking to think what he is going through to bring him to tears

I'm sorry to read that you're finding it difficult dealing with your husband's pain but rest assured there'll be plenty of others in a similar situation to yourself.
As you know, the online community is divided up into different support groups so I hope you don't mind me suggesting that you also join and post in the carers only group, where you'll connect directly with others who are looking after someone with cancer.

It would be great if you could pop something about your husband's diagnosis into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway.
