Hi all,
I have recently undergone a ultrasound to look at a sometimes painful lump in my abdomen and the findings of that led me to an MRI. A week later (a few days ago) I received a letter telling me I have an appointment in a couple weeks with a plastic surgeon in the sarcoma unit. Has anyone else had this or know why I have been transferred here?
thanks,
B
Hi Blic and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.
It's always worrying when you receive an appointment and you don't know what it's for. The best thing to do, would be to phone the number on the letter so that you can speak to someone who can look at your medical records and tell you why you've received this appointment and what the appointment is for.
Wishing you all the best
x
I’ve recently been diagnosed with a soft tissue sarcoma in my leg and I will be having surgery to have the muscle, skin surrounding the area where the sarcoma was. Plastics will also be involved you could possibly be having a similar thing, taking away the infected area.
