I have stage 4 metastatic cancer inoperable and not curable. Will I be entitled to any benefits? I start treatment 2nd June.
Phone for a form striaght away, your claim will start as soon as you phone, you need to have your doctors address and number and probably your consultant. When you speak to someone who helps you fill the form take copies of all your letters etc. You have nothing to lose.
You do not need anything just to get the form. Also the advisor may well phone you. You needn't go anywhere. It's for elderly disabled people. Not do you need copies of letters etc.wrong wrong just wrong. I enclosed one single doctors letter written for that purpose.
When i ran them they asked for my doctors and consultants address and phone which i had as it says on the website to have them at hand. Regarding letters I mentioned it for filling in form as it asked for evidence of your condition as supporting evidence.
We were discussing attendance allowance not Pip. And I repeat there is no necessity to send much evidence. Or any. What they want is the form filled out properly.
To clarify. AA is concerned with personal care needs. The ailment illness or injury is of less importance than the effect it has on the patient. Effect. GPS letters have nothing about care needs.
