Hello, hope everyone is coping! Just wondering how others cope with continuing to work post diagnosis. I’ve just been diagnosed with thyroid cancer and suspicious lymph nodes. I’m a primary school teacher and have found being in work hard. Feeling bad for not working at normal capacity and guilty of the impact this could have on the children. Don’t want to stop working and be in limbo until surgery but also don’t want the children to suffer. Any words of advice?

I'm sorry to read that you have recently been diagnosed with thyroid cancer and it's natural to have lots of questions.
As you know, the online community is divided up into different support groups so I'm going to recommend that you join the thyroid cancer group as that will give you the opportunity to connect directly with others who have had a similar diagnosis. I'm sure you'll find people there who have had the same dilemma as you.
To do this just click on the link I've created which will take you to the group. After you've joined you can then start a new post in the same way as you did here and join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'.
It would be great if you could pop something about your diagnosis and treatment so far into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'.
