Endometrial stormal sarcoma

Hi everyone

I was recently diagnosed with endometrial stromal sarcoma. I had been given a hysterectomy removing only one ovary but now they know it's cancer they have to go back in to take the second one out. My hysterectomy was 7 weeks ago and I had a CT scan last week to see what's what before they do the second op. I just had a phone call saying the scan showed something and they don't know if it's inflammation or cancer so they are going to take more biopsies when they open me up again. Has this happened to anyone else. I'm praying it's just Inflammation but my gut tells me it's not.

Thank you

Alana

  • Hi  and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.

I'm sorry to read that you have recently been diagnosed with endometrial stromal sarcoma. I don't have this type of cancer so can I recommend that you join the womb cancer group, which is a great place to ask your questions and to share experiences with others who do have this type of cancer.

To join just click on the link I've created which will take you directly there. You can then join and start a new post in the same way as you did here and join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'.

It would be great if you could pop something about your diagnosis and treatment so far into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
