Hi everyone,
I'm new here and aside from asking questions I just wanted to share something that really helped me.
I've started creative writing online. I found this website www.thebigcreative.org and have been posting on there.
The website really helped me, but you can do it at home yourself if you don't like using the computer. Just start writing down your feelings it said!
I chose an anonymous username much like I have here and it's helped to get some feelings out. I feel relieved afterwards.
Hope someone else can feel this too.
Hi hhist
As you enjoy writing you might be interested to know that Macmillan has an area where you can start a blog to chronicle your cancer journey. If this is something that you'd like to do clicking here will take you there.
There is also a group here called Express Yourself which is a space for self-expression, creativity, anything you might do to perhaps forget about cancer. You can post photos of art, add songs or poems you've written or anything else that expresses your creativity.

I was already a writer for decades before my diagnosis and very quick to absorb cancer awareness, treatment and care into my output. My performance set includees work exploring stoma-wear and in reciting one light hearted poem I have turned one (unused) into a little glove puppet to help me with the delivery and it always goes well with my audiences.
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
