Hi,

I am after a little bit of help and advice please?

Does anybody know of Companies that do Travel Insurance and anything I should be aware of when trying to sort out Travel Insurance.

I am currently Cancer free in 3 areas but still going for 3 monthly scans plus having Flexible Sigmoidoscopy tomorrow as the CT Scan and MRI scan were inconclusive in the bowel area

Any tips and help would be great thank you.

  • Hi  and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.

Unfortunately, it can be more difficult to get travel insurance when there is a cancer diagnosis involved.

As the online community is divided up into different support groups, I'm going to recommend that you join us over in the travel insurance group which is a great place to look for recommendations. Once you've joined look for the thread called 'recommended travel insurance' as that's where you'll find the majority of recommendations all in one place.

To join the group just click on the link I've created and if you have any difficulty navigating the community just drop me a reply and I'll be pleased to help.

Make sure that you have all the information to hand about your diagnosis and treatment before contacting the insurers. This is a list of things an insurance provider might want to know when you're applying for insurance. Some providers might ask for a letter from your doctor saying that you are well enough to travel. This could come from your cancer team or GP.
