Hi All,
So about 2 weeks ago I suddenly got some very bad headaches and vertigo about the same time I bashed my head quite badly. I have been to the doctors and been checked but they think its concussion and not a brain tumor so they wont do a ct scan. I am worried as the headaches are bad round the back of the area and the vertigo, I have a bad health anxiety. I just dont where to do from here. The recent eye test are clear also.
Hi Ro12 and welcome to the community and sorry to hear about your bash to your head.
There is not much us community members can advise you to do but do call the Macmillan Support Line open 8am-8pm (timings may differ across services) 7 days a week on 0808 808 00 00.
These services provide cancer information, practical information, emotional support or just a listening ear. We also have our Ask an Expert section but do allow a few working days for a reply.
Given you hit your head quite badly the doctors are probably right as it was concussion.
From my experience withBrain tumours, the current one I have I had no symptoms at all. The only reason it was even spotted was because of a another condition that I have which means I have regular MRI scans,
When I was 13 I had another brain tumour and the symptoms from that were unable to sleep, feeling sick all the time but no headaches, although I did faint once. I think the difficulty is there a so many symptoms that could be attributed to anything else as well and sometimes none at all.
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
