Hi all,
Has anyone heard of the hemoglobin F or HBF blood test? I was sent for one a couple of days ago after having had problems seeing and headaches etc.
My eyes got the all clear but I was sent as I said, for the HBF test. I am Caucasian (so sickle cell does not apply) and quite a bit older than six months.
All I got off the doctor at the eye hospital was 'there could be something squishing in your brain, go and get these blood tests'
I have no idea, blood tests are often a mystery to me and thus is me having a blood cancer.
You could put your question to our Nurse Team in our Ask an Expert section but do allow a few working days for a reply.
