Hair regrowth after scalp cooling during chemo.

Hi. I finished chemotherapy 8weeks ago (adjuvant for breast cancer). I used scalp cooling which preserved some of my hair but not much. My question is about regrowth: The hair above my ears (where the cap didn't reach) is growing back nicely; the hair on the back of my head has just started to grow back, but on the top of my head, where the cap definitely had good contact, still isn't growing. Are there other cold cappers out there who have had this where hair in different areas on their head grows back at different times? I'm worried that it won't grow back on top at all, despite the cold cap being all about preserving hair follicles. Anyone had a similar experience with scalp cooling? Many thanks for any replies.

  • Hi GreenQueen

I'm not using the scalp cooling cap while having chemotherapy for breast cancer so can't help with your question. However, I thought I'd pop on to suggest that you also post this question is the breast cancer group as then you'll connect directly with others who have used scalp cooling.
