Hello
Think I’ve reached the stage of considering Stent insertion for Oesophagus Cancer. I’ve got mixed feelings and would appreciate any feedback, preferably Positive but would like to here negative too

Hi artyman
I hope you don't mind me suggesting that you also post this in the oesophageal cancer group as then you'll connect directly with others who have had this procedure. If this is something that you'd like to do, clicking on the link I've created will take you directly there.
Wishing you all the best with whatever you decide to do.

Hi there personally if eating is becoming an issue then I think the only way to go is to have a stent fitted. I had problems with keeping food and fluids downs so had a stent fitted in April 2022 I was not in too much pain after and stayed in hospital for about 3 days, I do take Omerprazole twice a day for acid / reflux. In hospital I was given leaflets showing what foods I could eat, the diet is a soft diet. Wishing you all the best in what decision you decide to take.
